Irish Road Bowling
Join the fun at CNY's first ever Irish Road Bowling Tournament. This ancient sport of the Emerald Isle has been popular in County Cork for almost 300 years. The Friends of Historic Onondaga Lake are bringing this unique and fascinating activity - part golf, part bocce, part bowling - to Syracuse just in time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Four person teams will compete by rolling a small cannonball along a 2-mile Shoreline Walking Trail course beginning at the Willow Bay section of Onondaga Lake Park.
Although registration is full...Everyone is invited to cheer on their favorite team during the tournament and head over to the Barking Gull, located at the southern end of Onondaga Lake Park near the Griffin Visitor Center (corner of Willow & Lake Streets), for the awards celebration and after party, featuring the acoustic sounds of Prime Time, from 12-5pm. Hot dogs, burgers and a variety of beverages will be available for sale.
