Earth Day Celebration
Earth Day is Monday, April 22, but at Beaver Lake Nature Center, we're celebrating the whole weekend.
Saturday-Monday, April 20-22: Test your natural history knowledge in our Planet Earth Superlatives challenge. Fun interactive exhibits will give adults and kids some insight into everyday purchases. From 11am to 3pm, try some sun tea, and kids, check out our craft table. Get your garden growing with organic seedlings sold by a local farmer from 9am to 3pm on Saturday and from 10am to 2pm on Sunday.
Saturday, April 20 at 3 pm: Live Raptor Demonstration*
A special opportunity to see several live birds of prey, including an owl, a falcon, and a hawk! These wild birds come to us from Wild Wings rehabilitation and education organization of Honeoye Falls. Learn about the different types of raptors and how they are adapted to hunt and fly so skillfully. $5 per person, please purchase tickets in advance.
